Here are some of the most frequently asked questions we get at Infu-Zen Spa. If you have any additional questions, please reach out to us, we are happy to assist!
Is there any reason why I would not be able to receive treatment?
Our goal is to provide prophylaxis care and promote health and wellness to our patients. There are times that based on your medical history, you may not be a candidate for treatment. If a patient has any of the following, we will have to immediately decline treatment:
Can I receive an infusion if I am pregnant or breast feeding?
Yes, you can receive an iv hydration infusion while pregnant or breastfeeding. There may be individual injections that you can receive, however, would need to speak with the Nurse Practitioner in order to determine this based on you as an individual.
How long does it take to get an infusion?
The majority of specialty infusions last 20 minutes - 45 minutes depending on how well your body is absorbing the fluids and the size of the bag. Your initial visit will be a little longer based on initial evaluation and discussion with a clinician. (Hint - save yourself some time and complete the new patient paperwork prior to arrival.). NAD+ Infusions do take longer and depend on the patient, the dosage and several other factors. If you are getting your first NAD+ infusion, you will need to book an appt prior to 1 p.m. in order to make sure there is plenty of time. After the initial visit, the clinician will discuss the timing of future visits.
How often can I get an infusion?
As a general rule, our specialty infusions can be administered once per week. However, based on a clinical review you may be able to have some infusions administered more frequently (ie: NAD+.)

What if I am a "hard stick," will you be able to get an IV started?
Our clinicians are some of the best of the best when it comes to starting IV's. There are very few times where they have not been able to get an IV started on a patient. If you have had issues with getting an IV in the past or you just want to make sure that your veins are plump and ready :) we suggest drinking plenty of water just prior to arriving for your visit.
Who can I call to discuss what treatment I would like to receive?
While we will gladly take your call and let you know what services we offer, the plan of treatment is based on many factors. In order to discuss exactly what we can administer, please make an appt for an initial consultation and speak with our Nurse Practitioner, Mackenzie Shamblin, that will review your medical history, your current health and the treatments available. The consultation is free of charge and we can treat you at that time as well, if you wish.

- Blood Pressure:
- SBP ≤90 or ≥180
- HR ≤50 or ≥110
- Medical History
- Congestive Heart Failure
- Active Coronary Artery Disease
- Myocardial Infarction (heart attack) within the last 3 months
- Cardiac surgery within the last 3 months
- Cardiac arrhythmias (afib, etc)
- Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 4 or above (Cr > 3 or GFR <30)
- Severe liver disease
- Psychosocial Evidence of chemical or mental impairment that would affect the ability to comprehend and sign informed consent
