Reach Your Weight Loss Goals with Wegovy
Wegovy is a prescription weight loss medication containing semaglutide, a clinically proven GLP-1 receptor agonist. Originally developed to manage type 2 diabetes, semaglutide is now FDA-approved under the brand name Wegovy specifically for chronic weight management in adults who are overweight or have obesity.
Wegovy works by mimicking a natural hormone that helps regulate appetite and digestion. It decreases hunger, increases feelings of fullness, and slows stomach emptying—all of which support healthier eating habits and long-term weight loss.
How Wegovy Supports Weight Loss:
Curbs Appetite – Helps reduce hunger and cravings
Slows Digestion – Enhances satiety and portion control
Balances Blood Sugar – Stabilizes glucose levels
Boosts Metabolism – Encourages fat burning
In clinical trials, Wegovy has been shown to help patients lose significantly more weight than with diet and exercise alone. It may also offer added benefits such as improving blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and reducing the risk of developing conditions like type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease in appropriate individuals.
At Infu-Zen Spa, Wegovy is prescribed for weight loss under the guidance of licensed healthcare providers. Our team offers personalized treatment plans, dosing strategies, and ongoing support to help you succeed safely and effectively.

Splitting doses became popular a couple years ago when there were shortages of certain doses. For instance, if your dose was 1 mg and the pharmacy only had 2 mg pens available, patients would break open the DosePen and divide the liquid inside. This is extremely dangerous because of the risk of contamination during that process. You are also at risk of spilling and wasting your medication.
With the compounded medications, splitting doses was possible because the compounding pharmacies presented the GLP1s in multi-dose vials which included a preservative to maintain its effectiveness over time. Wegovy and Zepbound do not add this preservative.
Also, all medications are dosed by their half-life. The half-life of the medication - or the time it takes for 50% of the drug to be removed from your body - is seven days. Taking a GLP1 every seven days will ensure adequate drug levels are maintained to control cravings and food noise, so it’s important not to inject them more than once a week.
